Streams in Usage Engine

Streams consists of Function nodes, each providing specific functionality, that is linked into automated data flows of virtually any complexity. Using the stream concept, interface and processing Functions can be configured, deployed, and maintained in a modular way.

Streams may also be inter-linked (with Interconnect Functions) into scenarios of virtually any complexity, where the output of one stream is the input of another. Stream hierarchies can thus be defined, from technology-specific collection flows to convergent service-specific flows for downstream systems.

Once configured, streams are deployed and executed in accordance with defined scheduling criteria. With high availability capabilities, Usage Engine ensure that online streams are executing all times. Offline streams can be configured to execute at specific times(and time zone), or at specific period intervals. Execution plans can be defined to ensure stream execution according to internal strategies and processes.
