Functional Overview
Usage Engine provides access to a rich suite of capabilities to engineer data and information management solutions to ingest, process and distribute data between any number input sources and output destinations.
Itis designed for offline and online processing on one platform service. Offline processing is referring to the processing of batch/bounded datasets. For example,collect and process files from a SFTP server. Whereas online processing is referring to real-time processing of streaming data.An example of online processing is hosting an API Server that listens to incoming events, process, and respond back to the client in real-time.
Design and change in Usage Engine are achieved through configuration rather than hard coding. An intuitive and powerful drag-and-drop management user interface covers all aspects of workflow(aka stream)life-cycle management.
Once configured, streams are automatically deployed and executed in accordance with defined scheduling criteria.
