XML Schema Constructs not Supported
The following XML schema constructs are not supported in UFDL:
list type
complexType
 defined as an extension of aÂsimpleType
group
nillable declarations
include
redefine
substitutionGroup
Validation against XML Schema Definition
XML input data is not fully validated against the XML Schema Definition, so you must ensure that your data is correct. For example, if maxOccurs
is set to 1 (one)
you must ensure that the element does not occur more than once.
Support Limitations for Union and Restrictions
- Range restrictions are added to the following predefined types:
byte
,short
,unsignedByte
,unsignedShort
,nonPositiveInteger
,nonNegativeInteger
,positiveInteger
, andnegativeInteger
. Range restrictions for the types that exceed theinteger
range, such aslong
, are not supported when usingunion
type andrestrictions
. - Only
string
andinteger
types can be used as base in restrictions, for exampleÂinteger
,byte
,short
,positiveInt
. - A union can only be referred to via a
ref
to an element, not via atype
. - The following restrictions are not supported:
fractionDigits
,totalDigits
, andwhiteSpace
.
