9.40.2 HiCAP Agent Configuration

You open the HiCAP agent configuration dialog from a workflow configuration: you can right-click the agent icon and select Configuration..., or double-click the agent icon.

Connection Tab

The Connection tab contains configuration settings related to the AMAT and AMATPS RPC server.

FieldDescription

Host

The hostname or IP-address of the AMATPS RPC server.

DCFThe name or path of the Device Configuration File.
Timeout (s)

The transaction timeout in seconds.

Password

The collector password.

Sensor Id

The switch office id.

Sensor Type

The switch office type.

Sending Unit

The AMAT Sending Unit Number.

Connect Session RetriesNumber of retries before call reset server function.
Connect Sleep Time (ms)Sleep time before retry to connect.
Files to TestNumber of iterations for the test connection function when the HiCAP agent is trying to establish a connection.
Reset Server PasswordAMATPS reset password. An alphanumeric value.
Reset Server Sleep Time (s)Sleep time while the AMATPS server restarts and retry to connect.

File Polling Tab

The File Polling tab includes settings for type and interval of polling.

ItemDescription

Poll Function

Sets the collector to poll for either Primary or Secondary data. For information about Primary and Secondary data, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

Poll Sleep Time (ms)

The interval between polls for Primary or Secondary data.

Remove Invalid Trailing Blocks

The header in the AMA files contains the number of data blocks. Select this check box to remove any trailing blocks that exceeds the number of blocks specified in the header.

Starting

Optional setting of start block in sequence. This setting is available when the Poll Function is set to Secondary. For information about block sequence numbers, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

Ending

Optional setting of end block in sequence. This setting is available for secondary AMA data blocks. For information about block sequence numbers, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

Trace Tab

The Trace tab includes settings for controlling the logging that is performed on the AMAT server.

ItemDescription

Class

Specifies the type of logging that shall be performed. For information about classes and log messages, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

Level

Specifies the level on which trace messages are recorded for the selected set of classes. For information about trace levels, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

File Prefix

The trace function appends each message to primary log file named TRACE_DIR/<file_prefix>.pid on the AMAT. For information about trace files, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

File Size

The maximum file size in bytes of the primary file. For information about trace files, see the Flexent/AUTOPLEX, Wireless Networks, High Capacity AMATPS API documentation.

Enable Debug Log

Check to enable debugging of the AMATPS RPC Client of the HiCAP agent. The debug information is stored in the EC log.
