3.6 Derby Preparations

Derby is installed in the Platform Container. The setup is managed by 
itself which means no extra preparations are needed once the general preparations are finished according to 3.1 General Preparations. Once the container has been installed, i e after you have performed the software installation described in 3.7 Software Installation, the database files belonging to Derby will be placed in a directory called storage under MZ_HOME.
Note!
Since the Derby databases is running within the same process as the Platform, the Platform will require more memory than when using Oracle.
