Extract Database Definition Files - Private Container (2.2)

In the case, the Oracle and Usage Engine are not installed on the same machine (the database may be installed on any machine within the network), the database definition files need to be transferred to the Oracle machine before the database can be created.

  1. On the Oracle machine (as oracle UNIX user): transfer the database-setup.tar file from the Usage Engine machine and extract the files:

    $ tar -xvf ./database-setup.tar
     
  2. Set the permissions for the extracted files:

    $ chmod -R 755 ./oracle
