Secrets (4.1)

The Secrets Profile allows you to use secrets in  that originate from one central location. It is used with the Azure Profile and SAP RFC Profile.

SettingDescription

Storage Type

Select the Secret storage type from the dropdown menu list. The following types are available:

  • Azure KeyVault Secrets - The Secrets are stored in Azure KeyVault
  • Local Storage - The Secrets are stored locally in the configuration.

Azure KeyVault Profile

This field is available when you have selected Azure KeyVault Secrets in Storage Type.

Select the Azure KeyVault Profile to use for credentials.

Alias 

This shows the selected alias.

When using Azure KeyVault Secrets this name must exist as a secret in Azure KeyVault

Secret

This field is available when you have selected Local Storage in Storage Type and shows the associated secret.

Local Storage Options

When the Local Storage type is selected, you can add, edit, and remove the available entries using the options bar at the bottom.

Add Local Alias

Shows the Add Local Alias dialog box where you can enter a new Alias and an associated Secret.

Edit Local Alias

Shows the Edit Local Alias dialog box where you can edit the selected entry. 

Remove Local Alias

Removes the selected entry. 

Up 

Selects the entry above the currently chosen one. 

Down

Selects the entry below the currently chosen one. 

Azure Keyvault Secrets Options

When the Azure Keyvault Secrets type is selected, you can add, edit, and remove the available entries using the options bar at the bottom.

Add Alias

Shows the Add Alias dialog box where you can enter a new Alias.

Edit Alias

Shows the Edit Alias dialog box where you can edit the selected entry. 

Remove Alias

Removes the selected entry. 

Up

Selects the entry above the currently chosen one. 

Down

Selects the entry below the currently chosen one.Â
