Prometheus Forwarding Agent Configuration (4.0)

To open the Prometheus forwarding agent configuration, click  Build → New Configuration . Select  Workflow  from the Configurations dialog. When prompted to Select workflow type , select  Batch. Click Add agent and select Prometheus in the Forwarding tab in the Agent Selection dialog. 

To publish metrics using the Prometheus forwarding agent, create a Prometheus UDR and send it to the agent. For further information on the Prometheus UDR, see Prometheus UDR Type. 

Each UDR results in one cached metric, to be scraped by a Prometheus instance. In case the cache becomes full, the oldest metric is removed when a new one arrives.

Only numeric values can be used to populate the value field of the Prometheus UDR.
