Launcher Service - Adding(3.1)

A launcher service is an external web service that returns a list of existing platforms to the desktop launcher. For further information about the launcher service interface, see 12. Launcher Service Interface in the System Administrator's Guide.

Follow these steps to add a launcher service:

1. Click Add Instance and then Add a launcher service.

2. Enter the URL of the launcher service.
   
   
3. Enter an arbitrary name for the service.
   
   

4. Click OK. The Desktop Launcher will download a list of instances that are provided by the service.
