ECS Collection Agent(3.1)

The Error Correction System (ECS) collection agent fetches data sent to the internal ECS by workflows configured to do so. Erroneous data is sent to the ECS as UDRs or batches.

For erroneous batch files, an error UDR may be associated with a batch containing the relevant meta information. When collected by an ECS collection agent, the fields in an error UDR will be included as MIM values in the workflow.

When collecting erroneous batch files the ECS Collection agent produces bytearray data.

The erroneous UDRs or batches for the agent to collect is determined by selecting a reprocessing group that has been defined in the ECS Inspector.

It is only possible to have one active ECS collection workflow per reprocessing group at a time.

Note!

Collecting UDRs from the ECS does not mean that they are physically removed from ECS, only that their state is changed. Automatic UDR removal can be managed by the predefined task ECS_Maintenance. For further information, see ECS Maintenance System Task(3.1). Manual deletion directly from the ECS Inspector is also possible.
