Using External Reference in Workflows

This section describes how to enable the use of External Reference profiles in Workflow tables. External references can only be used in a workflow for agent properties that are configured inside the workflow table.

Enabling the Display of Fields in the Workflow Table

  1. To create a new workflow configuration, click the New Configuration button in the upper left part of the Desktop window, and then select  Workflow from the menu.
     

  2. From the new workflow dialog, select workflow type Batch or RealTime.
     

  3. From the button panel, click Properties to open the Workflow Properties dialog.
     

  4. On the Workflow Table tab, select the Per Workflow or Default check boxes for the fields that you want to display as columns in the workflow table.
     

  5. Select Enable External Reference, and click Browse to enter your External Reference profile. 
     

  6. Click OK. You have now enabled access to external references for selected workflow table fields.

  1. At the bottom of the workflow configuration, in the workflow table, click the Add workflow button.  

  2. Select the desired input field and enter the value.

  3. Confirm the entry by clicking the OK button.

At the bottom of the workflow configuration, in the Workflow Table, select the entry and click Edit. Deselect the Ext Ref field from the desired entry. Confirm your choice by clicking on the OK button.Â
