4.2 Agent Configuration

The configuration contract specifies the configuration interface between the agent and  core. It uses XML syntax for the specification. Each configuration data field is specified using the XML tags that are described in 15. Configuration Contract.

A tool is provided that parses the configuration contract XML document and generates a Java file. The Java file represents the configuration contract in runtime. Refer to 15.3 Generating and Using Java Code from the Configuration Contract for more information.

For examples of configuration contract files and the configuration contract XML Schema file can be found in the $MZ_HOME/dtk/examples directory. See 15. Configuration Contract to view one of these examples.
