This sections provides instructions on how to start and stop the Desktop.

Starting the Desktop

Start the Desktop by entering the URL in a web browser in accordance with your configuration:

http://<http host>:<http port>/auth

or

https://<http host>:<http port>/auth

In the login dialog, enter your username and password. If memory selection is enabled, you can also set the amount of memory allocated to the client from the Memory dropdown.

Stopping the Desktop

When you want to exit the Desktop, it is recommended that you either go to the File menu and select Exit or select the X in the top-right corner of the Desktop. This immediately frees up resources used on the server.

If you close either the tab or your browser, you keep resources allocated to the Desktop for up to 5 minutes, which may prevent further logins.
