3. Managing Trace Templates

To set a trace filter, you must have a trace template in place that you can modify with the relevant filter as required.

Note!

Regular expression is supported for trace templates and filters, but be careful of overusing .*. The more specific the filter is, the better the result, in terms of not generating an unnecessarily large amount of output, or significantly impacting performance.

In a trace filter, you can include several workflows which can be part of multiple ECs and/or ECSAs.  You can also include any number of routes and/or Analysis agents in the workflows, and any number of fields of the UDR types in the routes and/or Analysis agents.

There are three ways in which you can create, add, delete and list trace templates.
