Before starting to use Conditional Trace, permissions should be set up for the different users.

You must also determine the access permissions for Conditional Trace to be able to use this functionality. The recommendation is that Conditional Trace templates can only be managed by your administrator. Parameters for Conditional Trace filters can then be set, filters can be run by anyone who is given the relevant access permissions.

To set Conditional Trace access permissions, go to Desktop and click the Tools button. Select Access Controller, and go to the Access Groups tab.

Access permissions required to manage Conditional Trace filters only

Members of the default Administrator access group have access to manage Conditional Trace templates and filters by default.

For a user to have access to manage templates and filters, they must be granted Execute rights for the applications Conditional Trace Template and Conditional Trace Filter.
