Adding a Launcher Service

A launcher service is an external web service that returns a list of existing platforms to the desktop launcher. For further information, see Launcher Service Interface.

Follow these steps to add a launcher service:

1. Click Add Instance and then Add a launcher service.

2. Enter the URL of the launcher service.

3. Enter an arbitrary name for the service.

4. Click OK. The Desktop Launcher downloads a list of instances that are provided by the service.
