Streams and Stream Groups can be scheduled to run at specific times, or at specific intervals. You can set a schedule using the Actions drop-down menu. For single streams only, you can select the stream and click on Schedule in the Actions drop-down menu. You cannot create a schedule for a stream which is either real time or has configuration errors.

You access Schedule Settings to view, edit or create a schedule using the Streams view. To schedule a stream, select Schedule . To delete a schedule created for a stream, go to the Streams view and select the action Abort Schedule for that stream.

As you create your schedule, the Schedule Overview which appears at the bottom of the schedule is immediately updated. When you click Save Settings, you are provided with a summary of the schedule you have set, which you can publish or cancel.

The timezone can be set on any of the panels for setting up specific times for: DAY, WEEK, and MONTH

You can select the timezone by either scrolling through the list and select the appropriate one.

You can also search for a city and select it (if it is found).

Note!

The default timezone is Etc/UTC. UTC is Coordinated Universal Time and it never observes Daylight Saving Time. Click here to know how to convert the UTC timezone to the current local time.

Some things to remember while scheduling streams:

  • You can make changes to an already scheduled stream, however the stream will not reflect the changes unless:
    1. You run the scheduled stream manually
      or
    2. Open the Schedule Settings page and click on Save Settings option again (even if you have not made any changes to the schedule)
  • You can start or restart a scheduled stream on-demand.

Note!

If a Stream is already running when a new execution request is triggered by a Schedule, this will be ignored to avoid duplicated executions and concurrency with the data. This means that the next automatic execution request will not happen until the next Schedule.
