When your Usage Metering solution is up and running, the usage for each meter will be counted and in the Inspect view, you can view all the meters and Meter Types meter types configured for the Meter Processor processor to ensure that usage is counted according to schedule.

To inspect the meters and meter types for a Meter processor:

  1. Open the Usage Metering stream.

  2. Double-click on the Meter Processor processor function and click on the Inspect tab to view a table with all the meters and meter types associated with the Meter Processorprocessor:

    At the top of the view you can see widgets displaying the number of unique meter types, categories, and meters connected to the Meter Processor processor function, and in the table you can see details about each meter with their respective current values.

Note!

You can also open the Inspect view from the Usage Metering View if you expand a meter type and click on the View button for a stream. The Inspect view for the associated Meter processor will then open up and a filter will have been applied for the selected meter type, see next step for information about filters.

  1. If you have many meters in a long list you can click on the filter2.pngImage Modified Filter button and enter a specific meter type, or a User ID, or a combination of both, that you want the displayed meters to match.

  2. If you do not want to see all the columns or widgets, you can click on the display-options.pngImage Modified Display options button and deselect the checkboxes for the columns you do not want to display, and also switch off the Overview widgets option.

  1. The default number of rows displayed is 100 rows, if you want to show less, you can click on the show.png Show drop-down list at the bottom right and select to view either 50, 20, or 10 rows.

  2. If you want to view the session for a specific meter, click on the view.png View button to open the View session dialog.
