Operating a usage metering solution
Once your Usage metering solution is fully set up and running (see Designing a usage metering solution), there are several useful tools and processes available to help you operate and maintain your solution.
You can:
Use the Meter processor inspect tab to verify that your Meter processor is aggregating usage as expected and that meters are being updated for each meter type.
Access the Meter search feature to quickly look up a specific customer’s usage balance—ideal for answering customer inquiries or troubleshooting.
You can also add new meter types with any existing category without needing to update your meter configuration. For more details on categories and their use, see Creating meter types. Additionally, meters can be added or deleted using APIs at any time, whether before or after stream execution is scheduled.
