Installation and Setup (5.0)

To prepare your development environment setup:

  1. Download the devkit package to the PC where you will do the DTK work by opening the Downloads dialog from the User Settings menu in Desktop, see User Settings (5.0), and click on the devkit_<version>.zip file.

  2. Create an installation directory for the Devkit.

  3. Extract the devkit package to your installation directory <devkit_dir>

  4. Set up the environment variables for the DTK.
    In your development environment or build scripts you must include the devkit.jar in the class path (that was extracted above, in devkit_<version>/lib) in the class path.
    For example:

    > javac -cp <devkit dir>/lib/devkit.jar -sourcepath . com/mycompany/myplugin/*.java Where: com/mycompany/myplugin/, is the code that you will build
