Managing ECS Filters

The filter function allows users to save ECS search settings as a filter. The filter can be loaded to populate the results without manually entering the filter settings every time.

Creating a filter

  1. Click the New Filter button.

  2. Enter a Filter name.

  3. Set the search settings you want and click Save to save the new filter.

Note!
The Filter Name field only allows alphanumeric, hyphen, and underscore characters.

Searching for a filter

  1. In the ECS Inspector - Filters page, click on the Search on filter name (search bar) and type in the name of the filter you are searching for.

  2. The page will automatically filter the results based on your search conditions.

Editing a filter

  1. Select a filter that you want to edit.

  2. Under the Action column, click the ellipsis button (…) and select Edit.

  3. Make the required changes.

  4. To save the filter as a new filter, click Save As.

  5. To update the existing filter, click Save.

Renaming a filter

  1. Select a filter that you want to edit.

  2. Under the Action column, click the ellipsis button (…) and select Rename.

  3. Enter the new filter name.

  4. Click Save to confirm the change.

Deleting a filter

  1. Under the Action column, click the ellipsis button (…) and select Delete.

  2. Click Delete to confirm the deletion of the filter.

Warning!
A deleted filter cannot be recovered.

Hint!
To delete multiple filters at once, select the checkboxes for all the filters you want to delete in bulk, then click the Delete button.
