SAP CC Agents

This section describes the SAP CC agents.

Supported Versions

The following versions of SAP CC are currently supported:

Version 2023
Version 2025

Note!

Update: The SAP CC team announced the following on official support information for SAP CC versions:

For SAP CC 2023 or SAP CC 2025, use MediationZone 9.x which uses Java 17 or Java 21
For SAP CC 2022 or earlier, use MediationZone 8.3.x which uses Java 8

Note!

MediationZone 9.x runs on Java 17 or Java 21 and therefore cannot use SAP CC Core SDK client JAR files compiled for Java 25, such as those delivered with SAP CC 2023 SPS4 and SAP CC 2025 FPS1.

SAP CC provides ascending compatibility, meaning a newer SAP CC server version accepts requests from clients built with an older SAP CC SDK version. You can therefore connect MediationZone 9.x to the SAP CC servers that runs on Java 25 by using an earlier SAP CC SDK that is compiled for Java 17, as shown below.

SAP provides an extended migration phase from MediationZone 8.x to MediationZone 9.x while you use an upgraded version 2023 of SAP CC. Refer to the MediationZone 8.3 documentation https://infozone.atlassian.net/wiki/spaces/MD83/pages/5965654for more details.

Prerequisites

Before you start using the SAP CC agents, you must have the following:

Knowledge of SAP Convergent Charging concepts.
SAP Convergent Charging installation materials that match the version of your SAP CC core system (i.e., the back-end servers).

We recommend that you upgrade your SAP CC server to the latest patch whenever possible.
