Global parameters exclusion list

Use these exclusion lists when you design and configure streams that rely on Global parameters and Sensitive parameters. The first list covers functions and fields with limitations for Global parameters in general. The second list covers functions and fields where Sensitive parameters are not allowed.

Global parameter reference exclusion list

This section identifies configuration fields that do not support Global parameter references or handle them in a specific way. Most fields support Global parameters, but some handle the input as literal text or apply limits that prevent Global parameter use. Use this list to understand these exceptions when you design and configure your stream.

The meaning of the Value field in the Date operation section depends on the selected date operation. Each operation interprets this field differently, so Global parameter behavior for this field differs between operations, and a single generic rule is misleading.

Request timeout - When you enter a Global parameter reference in this field, the system interprets the parameter syntax as a field name and does not resolve it to a value.

Sensitive parameter reference exclusion list

This section identifies configuration fields that do not support Sensitive parameter references. Sensitive parameters are masked in the user interface and API. However, some functions can still output or log values in plain text through their configuration fields or runtime behavior. When you use Sensitive parameters in these locations, they can bypass masking and expose secrets to anyone who has access to logs, script code, or request content.

To reduce this risk, Sensitive parameters are blocked in specific functions and fields that are known to expose values.

The stream does not start if a Sensitive parameter is referenced in any blocked function or field. Preview does not show resolved values of Sensitive parameters in these locations.
