Customer Data Backup

Usage  Engine Cloud Edition can ensure the integrity of the configuration performed by Customer in the platform  service. To that purpose a periodic scheduled backup is performed under the control of DigitalRoute operations who is the only team with the authorization to perform recovery operations.

• Customer configuration is saved every 15 minutes, and Account (tenant) configuration every 1 hour.
• Temporary data is not saved as the Usage Engine purpose is to handle data flows and not store them. Doing a restore in time of temporary data in case of a catastrophic incident is more complicated and error inducing than starting from a clean position.
• Logs, audits, and error correction records are saved once per day, so there is a risk of losing max 1 day of data which is deemed as acceptable in case of a catastrophic event.

The validity of the configurations and versioning control are the responsibility of the Customer.Customers can manage own configuration backup and recovery of configuration by using Usage Engine Stream Import and Export functionalities.
