The DigitalRoute AI Assistant is a built-in documentation support tool in Usage Engine. Designed to make your experience smoother and more productive, the AI Assistant helps you quickly find answers about features and functionality from the product documentation.

Note!
The AI assistant is designed to help, but it may occasionally provide incorrect or incomplete information. Please verify any important details independently. If you notice any issues while using it, please log feedback through your usual support channel or use the Feedback icon feedback_icon.png. Avoid sharing sensitive or personal information with the assistant.

The AI Assistant is not a coding tool and cannot generate or debug code. It also does not have access to any account-specific contextual information, so it cannot answer questions related to your specific streams or stream logs.

Conversations with the AI Assistant are not persistent across login sessions, but it can refer back to older prompts and responses in an ongoing conversation.

Getting the most from the AI Assistant

Use these tips to get the best results when asking the AI Assistant for help.

Be specific
Ask direct questions about tasks or features in Usage Engine.

Instead of asking "My stream isn't working," try "My HTTP function in the billing stream is returning a 401 error when connecting to the external API.”

Instead of "How do I set up metering?" try "I need to meter API calls for different service levels like the Botbot AI assist example - how do I configure multiple meter types under categories?"

Ask one question at a time
Keep your prompts focused on a single topic for the best results.

Do:
How do I schedule a recurring stream run?

Don’t:
How do I schedule a recurring stream run and delete streams?

Include error messages
If you see error messages in your stream logs or when configuring functions, copy and paste the exact text.

"Getting 'Invalid meter type' error when using the Meter processor function."

Ask for examples or steps
If you want more detail, ask for examples or a step-by-step process.

Give me a step-by-step guide to importing a stream.

Mention your environment and your role
Specify your environment and your role, as configurations and features may differ.

Are you using the EU environment (https://digitalroute.io ) or the US environment (https://us.digitalroute.io )?

Are you an Admin user (who can access Application access and User Management) or a regular user?
