Stream update indications
To ensure that you know what the latest version look like, you will be notified in the following scenarios.
Running a stream in View mode after update
When you start a stream with the Start button in the Stream editor, it will always be the latest version of the stream that runs.
If you have a stream opened in View mode and click Start or Export after another user has updated the stream, you will see the following message:
Click Show latest to update the stream in the Stream editor to the latest and then click Start to run the stream or Export to export the stream.
If you start a stream with the Start scheduled button, it will run the version that is scheduled.
Exporting a stream
When you export a stream with the Export button in the Stream editor, it will always be the latest version of the stream that is exported.
If you have a stream opened in View mode and click Export after another user has updated the stream, you will see the following message:
Click Show latest to update the stream in the Stream editor to the latest and then click Export to export the stream.
Previewing a function configuration
If you have a stream opened in View mode, open the configuration of a function and click Preview after another user has updated the stream, you will see the following message:
Click Show latest to update the stream to the latest and then click Preview to preview the Input/Output data.
Concurrent updates to a stream
To ensure that updates to streams are not overwritten, only one user at a time can make updates to a stream.
If you have a stream opened in Edit mode and make updates after another user has updated the stream, you will see the following message:
You can either click Show latest to update the stream in the Stream editor and redo your changes, or click Duplicate, if you want to create a duplicate of the stream containing only your updates.
