View/Edit mode
To prevent streams from being inadvertently modified, the Stream editor has two modes; View and Edit.
When you create or import Example streams, the Stream editor will be in Edit mode when it opens, but when you open an existing stream, the Stream editor will be in View mode.
If you are in Edit mode and navigate away from the Stream editor, you will be in View mode when you navigate back.
The current mode is indicated by the View and Edit buttons in the banner on the top left of the Stream editor, which you can use to switch modes.

If you navigate away from the Stream editor, you will switch to View mode. The Edit mode will only be active as long as you keep the Stream editor open.
