Stream scheduling intervals

Stream scheduling intervals

This page provides an overview of the available intervals for stream schedules, such as minutes, hours, days, weeks, and months. It explains how each option affects when a stream runs and how to combine times and dates within a schedule rule.

Note!
The default timezone is Etc/UTC. UTC is Coordinated Universal Time and it never observes Daylight Saving Time. Click https://www.utctime.net/utc-time-zone-converterto learn how to convert the UTC timezone to the current local time.

Scheduling by fixed interval (minutes and hours)

Use fixed-interval schedules when you want streams to run regularly every few minutes or hours, rather than at specific calendar times.

After choosing the interval, select the tagged version of the stream you want to run so you can control exactly which version is executed and tracked (see the Version tags topic for more information).

The Schedule overview summarizes your selections, and when you are satisfied, click Save to store the rule and start the first run.

Minute

Select Minute in the Select frequency by field. The stream can be set to run in the following minute intervals:

  • 5 min

Scheduling by calendar (days, weeks, and months)

Use calendar-based schedules when you want streams to run at specific times on selected days, weeks, or months instead of at a simple fixed interval.

For each schedule, you can change the time zone if you do not want to use the default time zone in the Select time zone field. Then select the tagged version of the stream you want to run so you can control exactly which version is executed and tracked. The Schedule overview summarizes your selections, and when you are satisfied, click Save to store the rule and start the first run.
