New Workday Query function, format selection in Validate, and stronger SAP HANA security

We have added three new updates to UsageCloud that make it easier to bring in external data, configure validation, and keep sensitive values protected.

Workday Query function

With the new Workday Query function, you can bring data from Workday directly into your streams. It runs a Workday Advanced custom report that is exposed as a web service through Reports-as-a-Service (RaaS), and returns the report output to the next function in the stream. This gives you a direct, ready-to-use Workday integration in minutes without requiring you to manually build and maintain a custom integration. You simply enter the report URL, choose an authentication type (Basic or OAuth 2.0), and optionally add query parameters to filter the results.

Format selection in the Validate function

You can now select common JSON Schema formats, such as date-time, email, hostname, etc, by adding validations and selecting the format from a searchable drop-down list in the Rules tab, instead of hand-editing the raw JSON schema. Any format you set in the raw Schema tab, including values that are not in the drop-down list, is preserved and displayed in the Rules tab, so advanced configurations continue to work exactly as before.
