When you use Code Completion, Validation or Compilation Test in the Python Module or the Python agents, to gain full access to the Python packages that you have installed, this tool must be running while you are writing your Python code.
You gain access to the Python packages that you have installed by selecting a Python Interpreter profile in the Python Language Service configuration.
If you do not run this tool, the Compilation Test and Validation does not work. However, you can still use Code Completion but with limited context sensitive help.
Python Language Service dialog
To start the Python Language Service, press the Start button and you are prompted to enter an Interpreter profile and to select a pico.
Dialog to configure the Python Language Service
The status of the tool and the Interpreter Profile and pico selected are then displayed in the Python Language Service configuration.
When you have completed your configuration(s), press Stop to stop the Python Language Service.
For information on Code Completion, see the section Code Completion in 9.62.3 Python Code Editor Assistance. For information on Validation in the Python Module, see 9.62.2 Python Module, and for information on Compilation Test, see the configuration section for the relevant Python agent.
