This section describes how to enable use of External Reference profiles in Workflow tables.

Enabling the Display of Fields in the Workflow Table

To enable the display of fields in a workflow table, follow these steps:

  1. To create a new workflow configuration, click the New Configuration button in the upper left part of the Desktop window, and then select  Workflow from the menu.
     

  2. From the new workflow dialog, select workflow type Batch or RealTime.
     

  3. From the button panel, click Workflow Properties to open the Workflow Properties dialog.
     

  4. On the Workflow Table tab, select the Per Workflow or Default check boxes for the fields that you want to display as columns in the workflow table.
     

  5. Select Enable External Reference, and click Browse to enter your External Reference profile. 
     

  6. Click OK. You have now enabled the access to external references for selected workflow table fields. 

Assigning External Reference Value to a Workflow Table Field

To assign External Reference value to a workflow table field, follow these steps:

  1. At the bottom of the workflow configuration, in the workflow table, right-click a field and select Enable External Reference.
     

  2. To enter a value either double-click the field, or right-click it and then select Edit Cell.
     

  3. Enter the name of a reference, i e the local key associated with the value to be used, and then press Enter.

Disabling an External Reference Assigned Field

At the bottom of the workflow configuration, in the Workflow Table, right-click an External Reference field and select Disable External Reference. The field is cleared from its value and External Reference icon.
