Supported Functions

The IBM DB2 database can be used with:

  • Database Table Related Functions (APL)
  • Database Collection/Forwarding Agents
  • Prepared Statements (APL)
  • SQL Collection/Forwarding Agents

Preparations

No specific preparations are required for using the IBM DB2 database typeA database driver is required to connect to the IBM DB2 database. This driver must be stored in the Platform. Follow these steps to set up the IBM DB2 driver on the Platform:

  1. Download the IBM DB2 driver (jcc.jar) for the appropriate IBM DB2 database version.
     

  2. Copy the downloaded file to the directory MZ_HOME/3pp in the Platform.
     

  3. Restart the Platform and EC's for the change to take effect. You should be able to select the IBM DB2 option from the Database profile after this step.
