Dimension | A dimension represents a category in a data set and is used for grouping of KPIs. |
KDR | A UDR type that holds the source data for KPI calculations. The decoded input to the workflow is represented as key-value pairs in the UDR, which can then be referenced in a service model. |
KPI | A Key Performance Indicator (KPI) is a measurable value that demonstrates how effectively an organization is achieving key business objectives. A KPI is derived and calculated by aggregating metrics in a dimension over a specified period of time. |
Metric | A metric is the result of a calculation based on one or more values in the KDRs. Various functions define how these values should be aggregated in each period. |
Service Model | A service model is set of objects that defines dimensions, metrics, trees, and KPIs and the relation between these entities. |
Tree | A tree is a representation of a set of paths to dimensions in a service model. |
Period | Metrics are aggregated in discrete periods. The length of these periods is determined by properties in the service models. |
